* 1 cup ice
* 1 scoop Strawberry Shakeology (whey or vegan)
* ½ cup frozen pineapple

Instructions
Place water, orange juice, ice, Shakeology, and pineapple in the blender; cover and blend until smooth.

Portion Fix Containers: 1 Purple, 1 Red
2B Mindset Plate It: A great protein + FFC as part of breakfast

Fruity + pretty = delicious!

passionfruit shake.jpg

Passion fruit is tart and tropical and the perfect match for the mellow, creamy flavor of Vanilla Shakeology! If you’ve never bought passion fruit, look for fruits with purple, yellow, or orange skin - it should be smooth and free from bruises. Heavier pieces will have more seeds and juice. Cut the fruit with a sharp knife and scoop out the seeds and pulp like you would a kiwi!

Can’t find passion fruit? Canned passion fruit nectar can be used instead! Can’t find canned?! Try pineapple and add a squeeze of lime 🤤

Ingredients
* 1 cup water
* 1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
* ¼ cup frozen passion fruit pulp -OR- 3 passion fruit, peels and seeds discarded
* 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves
* 1 cup ice

Instructions
Place all ingredients in the blender - cover and blend until smooth.

Portion Fix Containers: ½ Purple, 1 Red
2B Mindset Plate It: Enjoy as part of breakfast

Blueberry Greek Yogurt Protein bites

fullsizeoutput_79d3.jpeg
fullsizeoutput_798e.jpeg

It sounds way healthier calling these “protein bites” (which they are), but they could double as dessert and no one would know they were good for them. Tell me if I’m wrong, but these look like blueberries covered in white chocolate. AMIRIGHT??? LOL My inspiration came from a Weight Watchers recipe, but in true WW fashion, it had unnecessary sugar. I’m a WW dropout, so I can say “been there, done that”. Wasn’t a lifestyle I could keep up with and model in front of my kids as “health"y”. Far from it actually. WW recipes might be low calorie, but they’re a shit storm of low fat, reduced fat, light, ingredients which basically means, CHEMICAL SHIT STORM. No thanks. Foodies here that wants to take control of what goes in my body!

Ingredients:
1 cup PLAIN greek yogurt
1 TBSP honey (although I think you can omit this if using Shakeology - it’s sweet enough for me)
1 scoop vegan vanilla Shakeology (any protein powder will do, but be careful because many taste chalky so you’ll want more sugar to mask the taste…or just get Shakeology and thank me later) ***
1 c washed blueberries

Directions:
Stir all ingredients together and then add blueberries. Divide into TBSP servings and freeze. Take out when ready to eat. YUMMMM! Share your comments below; can’t wait to hear how you like these!

I don’t count calories since doing Beachbody, but for those that do, I’ve calculated them for you.
Weight Watchers = 2 points
Portion Fix Containers = .5R, .5Y, .5tsp
2B Mindset “Plate-It” = good FFC to accompany with 2 eggs for your protein for brekky
calorie counters = 94 calories, 1.5g fat, 12.2g carbs, 7.7g fiber (based on 5 servings)

Cookie dough - thank me later!

vanilla cookie dough.jpg
vailla cookie dough 1.jpg

I know you’re thinking, yeah right. I would be too had I not tried it. If you know me well, you know that giving me baked cookies is like a mic drop. WHAT? I’ve literally had people drop off tubs of Tollhouse cookie dough and I think … “these people get me!” haha

Ingredients:
-1 packet / scoop Vegan Vanilla Vanilla Shakeology *whey doesn't turn out as well
-tsp melted coconut oil
-2 tsp nut butter
-¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
-dash of salt (optional)
-1-2 TBSP dark chocolate chips (depending on your plan, you know how much you can have ;)

Mix it all together until it's the consistency of cookie dough and add a little more liquid if you prefer.  Then top with chocolate chips and enjoy!

Day 13: Cardio Flow

My little cutie and my favorite shakeo recipe.

My little cutie and my favorite shakeo recipe.

Back to Cardio Flow today!  Who's excited???  It’s only 30 minutes, so give it all you’ve got then go have a fun, active weekend! You know the moves and know what to expect so I like to turn Autumn down and crank the music up!  If you still need her cues, then listen up! Form is always most important!

Do you know how to integrate Shakeology into your meal plan? Timed-Nutrition takes dedication, so it’s great to know that at least one of my meals — the one I fill with Shakeology— is going to be super-easy, and delicious.  On crazy busy days, I drink two.  I'll have one as a post workout meal (I add spinach to get my veggies in) and then for “Meal #1”. I mix: 1 scoop vegan vanilla or vegan chocolate, 1 purple of berries, 1 C unsweetened almond milk and 1 C ice. Thats 1 red, 1 purple, 1 tsp. ENJOY!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar

Y'all, it's time to ROCK some Shakeology worlds!!!  This is for those concerned about noisy morning blenders, those that don't want to drink a shake (I don't understand this, but that's ok), not having time to make stuff, or NEEDING that sweet treat. PLUS...This is NOT a refeed item so you can have it any, and every day.

Step 2 (after mashed bananas, water and peanut butter are well blended, heat in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. Or you can heat before, whatever your preference is, just make sure you do this step BEFORE adding Shakeology.

I used Vegan Chocolate in this recipe, but you could use Vanilla or Cafe Latte just the same and it doesn't matter if it's the Whey or Vegan formula (I'm lactose intolerant so I use Vegan).  You can also call them "Amaze Bars" because they are pretty AMAZING!  Each is equivalent to ❤️💜🥄 , but if you need a green, add spinach before blending and that works too. But make sure you blend long enough because no one wants to bite in a chocolate bar and get a spinach leave :/

Last step, smooth batter into a longer size tupperware so bark won't be too thick, otherwise it's hard to bite into. 4" x 6" is good.

This is super simple to make and you’ll store them in the freezer to grab-and-go so feel free to double, or triple, the batch.  They will disappear well before they could ever go bad.

These are NOT to take in your purse for later or you will have a sloppy mess and hate me; these are a 'remove and eat now' kind of thing.

FYI - Freezing Shkeology is fine, but it should not be heated over 175 degrees or it will lose it's nutritional content.  No one wants that because there is good stuff in here and 70 Superfoods in one meal is hard to come by for this price!  Can't beat a nutritious $5 meal!

Then enjoy, you don't have to share if you don't want to! This is ONE PORTION!

Then enjoy, you don't have to share if you don't want to! This is ONE PORTION!

Ingredients:
1/2 Banana (mashed),
1/4 cup water,
1 tsp peanut butter

Add the above ingredients into a medium mixing bowl and once stirred together, heat for 30 sec in the microwave to soften. Mix with electric hand mixer.

Then add 1 scoop/packet of whatever flavor you choose of Shakeology and mix until smooth. (AGAIN, you do not want to heat shakeology, it looses it's nutritional goodness so it's important to add AFTER microwaving).  Keep this in mind if you add coffee to your shakes...add cooled coffee for an iced coffee shake or just buy Cafe Latte and make life easy!

This is vanilla, 1/2 banana, peanut butter

This is vanilla, 1/2 banana, peanut butter

Lightly spray flat container with olive/coconut oil (I used olive oil). Put mixture into a long container and smooth out into corners and tap to level out. If you use a short container the bar will be very thick and harder to bite into.  Place lid on container and freeze 3-4 hours.  Bar should be hard when you try to remove it so if it's not, leave it in the freezer longer.

Remove from container and wrap in aluminum foil. Store in freezer.  ENJOY!!!

Updated based on questions I've received, yes,  you can also use Strawberry or Greenberry!  I'd use berries, peaches, kiwi, or pineapple instead of banana if you want.  You can add berries to Vanilla as well.  There is no wrong way to eat this!!

Indulging sensibly!

Carrot bread! You have to try it!!!

Not only did this taste good, and was healthy, but it smelled amazing as it cooked.  That's always very important, right?  Ha!

If you make multiple servings, like I did, store it in the fridge so it doesn't go bad, and then warm it up slightly when you're ready to eat it.  Top with your choice of nut butter (for pre-workout meal) or save your nut butter for your fruit serving if you're enjoying this post-workout. The portion feels rather large, which I'm thankful for, so enjoy it!

Here's the recipe, shared by a fellow coach in the 80 day Obsession Exclusive Coach Test Group.  Love that we are all accountable to each other for sharing knowledge and encouraging one another.  80 days is long, but it's going to pass either way, so might as well have something to show for it, right?!? And I'm honestly having a TON OF FUN!!

Ingredients:
1/2 c Quick Oats
2 eggs
1 scoop regular Vanilla Shakeology (I like having whey in this even though I'm lactose intolerant, it didn't bother me maybe because I cooked it?)
2 c shredded carrots
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
Nut butter, optional

Mix all together by hand (you don't need a mixer for this, but if you wanted it more cake like, then put in your blender).  Pour into a greased loaf pan (I use olive oil spray) and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.  You could do this in an air fryer as well if you have one.  Top with 2 tsp nut butter and ENJOY!  This is TWO SERVINGS.

80 day Obsession containers per serving: 1R, 1Y, 1G, 1tsp  Wait at least 30 min, or up to 1.5 hours, to workout. (assuming this is your pre-workout meal)

**you can also cook this in muffin tins, but shorten cooking time as it will cook much faster

Sunflower seed protein balls (GF & nut free)

IMG_9750.JPG

A lot of my customers have nut allergies and cannot eat my all time favorite granola ball recipe (AKA Amazeballs) so I found this one and tweaked it a little. It's just as heavenly and still gluten free and for those that prefer no oats, HERE YOU GO!  :)  And best part, it's so easy that my 4.5 yr old made the whole thing!

-1 over ripe banana, mashed
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 C sunflower butter (if nuts aren't an issue in your home, I used salted peanut butter)
-1/2 C Craisans, chopped (could use raisins or chocolate chips instead)
-1/2 C sunflower seeds
-2 scoops vanilla Shakeology (I used vegan chocolate in mine because that's what I had on hand, but as soon as m vanilla arrives, we will make this again)

**If you make it with chocolate it will look like this, and apparently disappear faster than you plan.  I had ideas of serving this at mom's night out or wth yogurt for breakfast, but really my family devoured it!  Yielded 16 servings.

Oh man, these were good :)

How many ways can you make Shakeology?

Well, my honest answer to this is, A MILLION + WAYS.  But my favorites are 3...as a dessert, snack, or a meal (shake or bowl).

I'm going to share with you my FAVORITE recipes, and you can thank me later after you finished eating or drinking Shakeology and making all kinds of inappropriate noises in your kitchen. haha

I call this Chocolate Banana Nutter Butter Shake!  Here are the ingredients and all of this, along with blending it, takes 3 min flat.  Fastest and healthiest breakfast ever!

-1 scoop / packet of chocolate (whey or vegan) Shakeology
-1 G spinach (do not use kale or lettuce, they both alter the taste and perfection of this)
-1/2 banana (unless you get more than 2 Purple containers /day, then you can do a whole banana). *Generally I chose berries for less sugar content, but bananas in shakes makes them so creamy!
-2 tsp nut butter. I prefer Dark Roasted Creamy PB by Mayvers, but any variety will do.
-1 cup liquid of choice (water = freebie, milk = Yellow container and almond milk = 1 tsp)
-1 cup ice

Blend everything together at the same time.  Only 2 steps...blend and enjoy :)  Y'all, please do me a favor and stop adding water to Shakeology and just shaking it in your blender bottle. I think a little of me dies every time I see someone do this because I know it’s not going to live up to this kind of amazingness. This tastes like the best desert in the world, but drinks like a salad.  FYI - if drinking this in public, you might need to apologize for all the noises you make enjoying this!

This one.  you guys.  THIS ONE!!!!  This is my dessert or on rough mornings after a long night with the kids, this might be breakfast :)  Don't judge.  This is what I call Recess's Bowl.

Ingredients:
-1 scoop or packet or chocolate / vegan chocolate (remember, vegan just means dairy free so it's plant based protein instead of whey protein)
-⅓ cup unsweetened almond milk / water (i like both equally so it's just personal preference
-1-2 tsp nut butter (I only like this one with PB, it's a strong flavor since there are no other fruits / veggies added in so you will know if you like / don't like a specific nut butter in this, more than in a smoothie)

Mix the Shakeology and liquid first, really well. It gets thicker the longer you mix it.  This counts as 1 red and 1-2 tsp depending on how much nut butter you use.

Another option is to omit the nut butter and add a purple of fruit instead.  Remember that 1/2 banana = 1 purple so if you're adding other fruit too, only do ¼ banana. It's higher in sugar too so less is more.  Natural sugar or not, sugar feeds cellulite.  This would be 1 red, 1 purple.

⅓ cup liquid - more firm

⅓ cup liquid - more firm

1/2 cup liquid - more soupy (I love this too, but most will prefer the ⅓ cup consistency

1/2 cup liquid - more soupy (I love this too, but most will prefer the ⅓ cup consistency

Shakeology bowls are SO FUN and no one even suspects a thing!!  I ALWAYS buy plain greek yogurt now because I can sweeten it with cinnamon or vanilla (both freebies) or honey or maple syrup (both count as however many tsp you use) and I avoid all the chemicals added to flavored yogurt. Yes, there's still added sugar in it, but at least it's at its purest form.

Then throw in 1 scoop / packet of vanilla / vegan vanilla and no one will realize you just added 70 superfoods to their breakfast!  My kids and hubby both LOVE this!  Top with 1/2 a yellow of any clean granola you prefer.  I tend to make the Oatmeal Balls (found HERE) and reduce the amount of honey so it's not to sticky and use that as granola. You can store in tupperware for weeks in the fridge.  Mine never lasts even 7 days, but in theory, if it did, you could :) ENJOY!!!

Lastly, Shakeology Cookie Dough!  Here is the original recipe one of my coaches created, but because of my coconut allergy, I omit coconut oil and I like it just the same.  Am I doing it to save calories...HECK NO!  On 21 day fix YOU DO NOT COUNT CALORIES!  <3  I can't tell you the last time I even thought about that word...if you count calories, please Lord Jesus, call me and lets talk.  You will not get those minutes / days back in your life and I TWENTY YEARS of regret about this. I kept journals, tracked calories in an app, ran number in my head, you name it!  It wasn't until 21 day fix that I felt true freedom from all of that.  FREEDOM!!!

Chocolate covered Strawberries; why not for brekky??

When you have goals, someone eating chocolate in front of you is like a slap in the face. I've had times when I wonder if I'm drooling or if it's just mental.  But there are SO MANY ways to eat Shakeology as dessert so I don't have to skip out anymore.  I can make ice cream, popsicles, muffins, brownies, brownie batter (and add fruit like this, or peanut butter so it's like a Resee's cup - heck yeah!).  Don't think you'll be making me jealous anytime soon now!  Mine might even taste better, but I know one of us won't be regretting it in the morning when we get on the scale :)

Recipe:
1 scoop or packet of vegan chocolate Shakeology *turns out better than whey
⅓ cup water or almond milk (if doing Shift Shop you need to chose water)
2 tsp peanut butter (opt) **if you're going for Resee's cup taste, opt for this

You can add any toppings; I’ve tried this with blueberries, bananas and strawberries so far and liked all equally. You could dip bananas in it and freeze them for a fun summertime treat too. Let me know if you try any of these! I love feedback!

80 Shift Shop recipes that are to DIE FOR!!

I was reviewing these tonight and seriously, my mouth was watering!  These sound amazing and there are desserts, snacks and meals all included, with container counts. You might wonder why I'm sharing all this info that requires a Beachbody on Demand membership, but it's because I know those that get the results are the ones that are all in... diet (clean eating), portion control (depends on the program...for 21 day fix I will get 2 carbs / day and Body Beast I will get 10!  and that changes throughout the program), exercise (streaming or DVDs) and Shakeology.

If you skimp on any one of those, you're cheating yourself and not getting the most results out of your 21 day effort. Why waste your time?!?  You wouldn't brush your teeth with 1/2 the amount of toothpaste to save money and risk getting a cavity, so why would you drink 1/2 the serving of Shakeology to make it last longer?  First of all, you won't get the same nutrition out of it so you'll be lacking on some vitamins and you'll be hungry faster so there go your cravings, snacking and calories.  So I'm not worried with all these recipes that you won't need me.  YOU NEED ME and I NEED YOU :)   I do these programs too and your posts and encouragement is a two way street.

So, who is going to help hold me accountable for round two of Shift Shop starting on Monday?  What you do in your house is your business till you make it out business.  These private groups in the My Challenger App are the secret sauce :)

HERE are all 80 recipes, divided by week 1, 2, and 3.

Pineapple Mango Shakeology

My boys saw this email from Beachbody today and requested I make this for breakfast. Boy have things changed since asking for fruit loops and chocolate chip pancakes.  I do love me some chocolate chip pancakes though and Beachbody even has a 21-day fix approved recipe for them so I can stay on track and still indulge. Nothing makes you feel like you're acing it more than fueling your kids with 70 superfoods and vitamins and heading off for a fun family day!

Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 scoop vegan or regular Vanilla Shakeology
¼ cup cubed fresh pineapple
¼ cup cubed mango
1 Tbsp. finely grated orange peel (orange zest)
1 cup ice

Directions:
1. Place water, Shakeology, pineapple, mango, orange peel, and ice in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

Chocolate Shakeology Energy Balls

We are back at our corporate apartment for 1 last week before we can move into our house. I cannot wait to have SPACE!! I’m so excited that I started nesting and bought this second-hand Kitchenaid mixer from a professional chef on Gumtree (the “Craigslist” of Australia) and its in like-new condition.  YAY!

Here's the best part of the sale 😂😂...she said, "I'm selling it because I used to be a pastry chef, but now I'm into clean eating and there's NOTHING HEALTHY YOU CAN MAKE with it!!" 😳😱 ummmmm...Yeahhhhhhhhh right!!!

I make tons of recipes ALL THE TIME in my mixer!! Pumpkin muffins (to die for), granola bars (my kids hate pre-packaged ones now and mine are cleaner / cheaper), and my new Shakeology energy balls...so many options!! But I didn't elaborate on all that, I shared a little of my story, my website, smiled, and happily took my $750 mixer for $400 and marched right out.  No need to convince her. 😂😂

Here's the recipe, but feel free to tweak it as desired. I've made them a few times and make them different each time.

INGREDIENTS:
-1 scoop / packet of vegan chocolate Shakeology (Vegan is richer in flavor, but either are fine)
-1.5 cup nut butter (make sure it’s “clean” The label should just be nuts, and possibly salt. No added sugar or oils ever!)
-1 cup honey (use your favorite day-to-day honey). Always try to buy local honey so it helps with allergies
-5 1/2 cups quick oats (cheapest brand will do). * I don’t use Old Fashioned Oats because it makes them to dry.

21-Day Fix container equivalents: serving size 1 heaping TBSP rolled into a ball = 1 yellow, 2 tsp

You can freeze these for weeks, maybe even longer, they've just never lasted that long in our house.  I always keep them in the fridge / freezer though because otherwise they get too sticky.  But they won't spoil, it's just a cleanliness issue. ** you don't need a fancy mixer for this, but your wrist might get tired. ha! ENJOY!!!

Chocolate Hazelnut Acai Bowl

Acari bowls are both fun to create and enjoy!  Try getting your kids involved!  And try other flavors besides just Acai berries.  Here's one of my favorites!

Ingredients:
¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop vegan or regular Chocolate Shakeology
2 TBSP chopped raw hazelnuts (no nutella y'all, that's NOT clean)
1 cup ice
1 1/2 tsp unsweetened shredded coconut
1 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
1 TBSP chopped dark chocolate

Directions:
Blend all liquid, ice, Shakeology and hazelnuts together until completely smooth.  Then top with sesame seeds, coconut and dark chocolate.  Enjoy!  Makes 1 serving.

Mango Margarita Shakeology

Here's a new trick...make healthy things taste good and like your favorite cheat, and you'll never miss them.  Cocktails, dessert, whatever your vice is, explore with Shakeology and try to replicate it and when you do...heaven :)

Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 cup ice
1 scoop regular or vegan Vanilla Shakeology
½ cup chopped mango
1 tsp. finely grated lime peel (lime zest)
1 Tbsp. hemp seeds

Preparation:
1. Place almond milk, lime juice, ice, Shakeology, mango, lime peel, and hemp seeds in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Yield: 1 smoothie

SHOCKINGLY, my kids liked it right away!  (I know, come on mom, get on board!?!?!)  I'd love to hear some of your favorite recipes.

Ingredients:

• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 6 Tbsp chia seeds
