Day 49: AAA

Time to burn out those muscles!  Make sure you grab a variety of weights for AAA, I feel like I lift them all in these 60 minutes!  Also grab your Beachbody Strength Slides, Beachbody Resistance Loops, and mat.

MOTIVATION: Do you need some motivation to keep going after so many weeks of a workout program? I know I do, so I found this fun blog article on Beachbody On Demand to give me extra inspiration when I need it.

Don't you love when you're working out and you hear Autumn say "ah this is a piece of cake, yummmm cake!" so maybe you're in the mood like I am now.  Problem solved.  If you're doing 2B mindset, I would replace the squash with zucchini since you have 2 FFCs in this and only need 1. Or you could leave both and serve it with a side of plain greek yogurt to even out your "plate".  If you have questions about 2B Mindset, let me know. You can do that nutrition plan with 80 Day Obsession and still get great results, but I think you should do either timed nutrition as Autumn lays out, or 2B Mindset, don't try and combine the two. 

Day 48: Leg Day

Leg Day after Refeed…work those Legs!  I always feel like I can lift heavier, go lower and have more energy after refeed day.  Anyone else?  Remember that refeeds are a way to get more glycogen into your muscles, and also to give you a mental break from all that clean eating. But, we won't do it again for two weeks so don't get off track with timed nutrition!  It was a day y'all, that's it! 

Today’s workout is ONLY 40-minute so before we know it, it will be over.  That should help push through the hard knowing it's not one of our longer 60 min workouts. Choose weights that challenge you and don’t forget your Beachbody Strength Slides.

Oh you "silly carbs"

You guys, I am LOVING this program!!! Although I'm very conscious about my health and fitness, I still have cellulite I’d LOVE to lose. Well, I'm down 3.5 pounds already and we just launched!  That's a lot for me!  AND I feel AWESOME!  I haven't had this much energy in a long time!

One of the things I absolutely love about this program is that no treat is off-limits.  She calls treats "silly carbs" and they are all ok!  She teaches us to eat Fiber-Filled Carbohydrates at most meals, but if you want some silly carbs, then go for it - following her guidelines/process.  I LOVE THAT. I also love quantity and that is celebrated on this program - YES PLEASE!

There's never any deadline to join this program; however, prices ARE increasing on June 3rd.  

Day 47: Total Body Core / Refeed Day

Total Body Core…and Refeed Day!  Are you excited for this???  When I look at these Peanut Butter Balls, I get all kinds of excited! 

Since we’re back to 2 sets of 15 reps, you might need to go a little lighter than you did last week, but still push yourself.  Sometimes it's easy to say "oh I need to go light this week because it's 15 reps.  THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M SAYING!! Grab weights, Beachbody Strength Slides, and a mat for our 60-minute workout.

REFEED DAY: Remember to eat all your yellow containers from the Supplemental List today. Enjoy the extra food. Your muscles will definitely appreciate it, but it is very important that you stick to this list! IT IS NOT A FREE FOR ALL!!

Day 46: Cardio Core

After Booty yesterday it feel good to do some cardio today without a lot of weights. You’ll only need Beachbody Strength Slides, Resistance Loops and Energize for this 40-minute workout.  If you're not drinking Energize and recover, it's not too late.  I like knowing I'm getting the most out of my time and couldn't have done a fingernail more by the end of our 80 days.

SHAKEOLOGY RECIPES: What’s your favorite Shakeology flavor and how do you prepare it? I have a few favorites because I love Vegan Vanilla and Vegan Chocolate, but you can't go wrong with Snickerdoodle.  I mean, it has the word Snickers in it, amiright?

Day 45: Booty

Last week of Phase 2!  Anyone else feeling like, wow, where has the time gone? This is our last Booty workout (of this phase), and we’re back to 2 sets of 15 reps. We’ll do each group of exercises two times in a row before moving on so grab heavy weights, Beachbody Resistance Loops, mat, and Energize and let’s do this!

Lets talk music - do you find that music helps you push harder or is it a distraction? I normally like quiet because I have trouble hearing the Super Trainer over music and get distracted and don't feel like I push myself as hard, but when I run or am doing non-weight exercises, I love music.  My favorite soundtrack to work out to now is Imagine Dragons. They have good beats that keep me going and forget to watch the time and pray for it to end faster.  What's your favorite signer to listen to?

Rest Day

Pancakes can be a weekend treat, but still keep you on track and meet your container goals. This one's a winner at my house and only 1R, 1Y, 1/2P

I’m ready for Rest Day, anyone else?  The Stretch & Release workout is on my schedule today, anyone else going to do that?  It's super short so try to fit it in somewhere so you're very relaxed as we dig in deep again tomorrow.  You want to have full movement and not have tight or sore muscles. 

QUESTION: How many of you have the Beachbody On Demand app? Did you know that you can download your workouts so even when you're offline (without wi-fi access); you can take them anywhere? It’s perfect for traveling. You can work out in a hotel room, on the beach, in a gym…pretty much anywhere that you can have an electronic device with you! And, there's an app for that.  haha

Worst case, print out your tracker sheets (available on Beachbody On Demand) and take them with you so you can work out without any device if necessary.

I find this interesting. I heard today that Ilana worked at Beachbody corporate for awhile years ago. Apparently no one could work with her because she had her own ideas about weight loss that didn't mesh with what Beachbody was doing, and she wasn't budging. After trying out a new role there, she was eventually fired. Carl Daikeler, the CEO, told her that if she really believed so strongly in her methods, then she needed to go, put it all together, and come back to him with a full plan.  Apparently that's exactly what she did.  😂

I'm so glad she stuck to her beliefs because not only did she lose over 100 lbs, but so many of us are already losing too!  I'm down over 3 lbs in one week and that's a lot for me.  Thanks Iliana!  

Day 44: Cardio Flow

You know what Saturday means... animal workout time (aka Cardio Flow)! This is 6 reps of everything, no equipment, just bring your positive attitude and energy because you will need it! Not gonna lie, but the change from 4 reps to 6 reps is b-r-u-t-a-l, but we can do hard things, can't we?  YES WE CAN, I MEAN, WE ARE ON DAY 44 FOR PETE'S SAKE!!

Day 43: AAA

This 3x10 rep scheme is challenging, so don't skip the warm up! Grab all your weights (lights, mediums and heavy), Beachbody Resistance Loops, Beachbody Strength Slides, and a mat, because we’re going to sweat for 60 minutes straight. #ButDidYouDie

Day 42: Leg Day

Pick up those heavy weights…it’s Leg Day!  Also grab your Beachbody Strength Slides and a mat and get ready to sweat for 45 minutes.  Anyone else feel like they look like they just finished cardio at the end of Leg Day?

Day 41: Total Body Core

Total Body Core today!  I LOVE this one and am sore every single day after TBC workout.  Anyone else? This one’s a killer, and I mean that in a good way. Haha 3 sets of 10 reps in a row before moving on - HELLO MUSCLES!! Be sure to get all your healthy nutrition in today and maybe give yours a kiss too if you love Shakeology as much as I do!

I often get asked why I drink Shakeology every day?

Y'all, OMGGGG, there are so many reasons!!  1) A dietician told me unless you're having a steak for snack, it's hard for women, esp elderly, to get the amount of protein we actually need.  And now that vegan lifestyles are so popular, it's even harder.  Thank goodness for Vegan Shakeology!

2) Since I started drinking Shakeology consistently, I've gotten off my depression meds and anxiety meds COMPLETELY!  

3) I find I eat a lot less chocolate, cut drinking wine back from 1-2 glasses every evening #BeacauseKidsYall to 1-2 glasses a week, and I snack a lot less. Shakeology isn't a "weight loss shake" like our competitors, it's a superfood shake with protein in it. That means your kids can drink it too, which most on the market can't allow because there are ingredients causing your heart to speed up or other things, not safe for those under 18 yrs old.  I want my kids to see me modeling healthy lifestyle choices. I'm not perfect, I still dive into the Costco dark chocolate chips from time to time, but there are major changes in my life that I wound't / couldn't do without it.

Day 40: Cardio Core

DAY 40 IS HERE!!!  We’re halfway through our workouts y'all! Well done, but no celebrating yet! I recently learned that most people hit a huge milestone and quit???  They don't intend to, but as soon as they show results, etc to a friend and here "wow" "way to go" etc it tells their brain they are fished and should celebrate.  True story.  So, realize how far you have come and know you're going to duplicate that success again and then, WE WILL CELEBRATE!

What I loved about today’s Cardio Core workout is that it’s only 40 minutes.  Anyone else love the shorter days, or is it just me?  You only need your Beachbody Resistance Loops and Strength Slides today unless it's starting to feel easy.  If that's the case and you're getting less sweaty, feel free to add VERY LIGHT WEIGHTS. I mean 3-5 TOPS. You are doing HIIT moves and can injure yourself with more. I started with 3 lb weights in Phase II and didn't move up to 5 lb till the last 2 weeks of Phase III.  

CHECK-IN: ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS REALISTIC? We’ve been through a lot together in these 40 days and I’m so proud of what everyone has accomplished so far.  However, often in my groups I see people comparing their progress to someone else’s and feeling bad about themselves if they don’t think they match up, EVEN THOUGH THEY JUST ROCKED THE HELL OUT OF 40 DAYS WORKING OUT. Please don’t do that! Understand that changes are happening even if you don’t see them yet and each person's body will respond differently and take different amounts of time to show. When you’re building muscle, you may not see a huge drop on the scale, or any drop at all. That is not the full story of what's happening so make sure to take photos and measurements so you can see the fruits of your labor.

Autumn talks about how this journey is about so much more than looking a certain way. It’s about feeling stronger, having more self-confidence, and believing in yourself. So make sure your expectations are realistic; results will come with effort, patience, and consistency. Ok, time to press play!!

Day 39: Booty

Whose Booty is starting to look good? #BootyGains My booty idol is J.Lo, and I'm not sure at 40 if that's going to happen, but shoot for the moon right? If you miss, you still land in the stars :) 

This week might feel a little harder than last week. We’re still doing 3 sets of 10 reps, but we are mixing up the order and instead of doing the whole routine all the way through and then repeating, we are doing each set 3 times through and then moving on.  That means we're going to burn out our muscle groups faster during this 60 min sweaty sesh.  Grab your weights, Beachbody Resistance Loops and mat.

MONDAY MOTIVATION: Did anyone else catch that tomorrow is HALF WAY through the program?  We are doing it y'all!!  Today I want you to pause and think about how far you’ve come in these 39 days. Think about the goals you set when you first started and remind yourself why you’re still here and going to FINISH THIS PROGRAM in its entirety!!  Don’t lose sight of those goals now—we’re getting closer!

Don’t you love Rest Day?  I do! Church, yoga or stretching and family time.  Bring it on!

After two weeks of Phase 2, I have definitely learned to love my rest days and use them wisely. What are your favorite ways to do your self-care? I’m all about massages and find great deals on Groupon so it's not super costly.

Check out this testimonial from a fellow coach!  She lost ZERO pounds y'all, which some would say is a flop.  But look at her???  I'd say SUCCESS completely.  The scale is not he end all be all.  Plus, you're gaining muscle which weighs more so you might not see the scale swing as much as you'd expect. Be kind to yourself; a lot is happening!

Last workout of the week…YAY!!  Cardio Flow - time for our "animal workout."  Which move is your favorite?  I think I like the move between gorilla crawls and bear crawls. I really feel strong doing this, but Diamond Jumps is dead to me.  Killer every single time and doing 6 reps of this just moved it down my favorite list even further.  ha!

No equipment and after this, we can enjoy our Saturday and rest day though so power through and get it done.  We can do hard things and then time will pass either way :)

Make some noise for AAA Friday!  Do me a favor, see if you can lift heavier than you did last week, because we’re only doing 3 sets of 10 reps again today.  It will be our longest day yet; 60 minutes, but fewer reps means you can do more and then let that muscle relax. Ssince this is such a long workout, make sure to drink Beachbody Performance Hydrate to replenish electrolytes and help you make the most of that hour.

Day 36: Leg Day

Legs…and the day after Refeed Day.  How are you feeling after Refeed Day? Do you notice a difference in your energy? How did you like eating more carbs? Does your body look any different today?

We have Legs today for 40 minutes (love that it's less) and we will use weights, Beachbody Strength Slides, mat and a chair (if modifying). Remember  2 things today as you workout (1) we are doing 3 sets of 10 reps so you can usually push harder and lift more on these days and (2) legs are the biggest muscle so they can handle much more weight.  Don't be afraid to bulk up; that won't happen on this program.

I want to chat about expectations for Refeed Day. As you know, the purpose is to refuel your body and give you a little break, mentally and physically. You may see some people showing off a sudden six-pack, or bragging about how much energy they have. If you don’t have the same results, don’t worry! This Refeed Day is a chance for you to see how your body reacts and what works for you. Pay attention to how you look and feel. You can always choose different foods next Refeed Day and see if you notice a difference. Don’t get discouraged by other people’s results—just focus on you!  My favorite quote is "Comparison is the thief of joy!" - CS Lewis
